Britmed Healthcare Ltd is fully committed to playing our part in the NHS’s journey to net zero.
We proudly commit to:
- Net zero for Scope 1 & 2 emissions (direct emissions from our energy use) by 2040
- Net zero for Scope 3 emissions (indirect emissions from our supply chain, travel, and waste) by 2045
These targets are aligned with the NHS Net Zero Supplier Roadmap and the UK’s legal net zero obligation under the Climate Change Act 2008 (as amended).
How we will get there
- Publish an annual Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP) – view our latest CRP here
- Report our progress through the NHS Evergreen Sustainable Supplier Assessment
- Maintain a remote‑first, low‑carbon operating model (reduced office energy, minimal commuting)
- Use 100% renewable electricity for our office
- Prioritise virtual consultations to cut patient travel emissions
- Work with sustainable suppliers via NHS procurement frameworks
This commitment has been approved by Prof. Ahmed El Missiry, Clinical Lead, on behalf of Britmed Healthcare Ltd. Our CRP and annual emissions data are publicly available on this website and updated every April.
Signed,
Prof. Ahmed El Missiry
