BritMed Healthcare Ltd is committed to operating with integrity and transparency in every aspect of our work. We recognise that modern slavery—whether in the form of forced labour, servitude, human trafficking or other exploitation—has no place in our organisation or in the supply chains we rely on. As a provider of NHS services, we hold ourselves to the highest ethical standards, and we take seriously our responsibility to identify, prevent and respond to any form of exploitation. Our recruitment processes are robust, requiring right‑to‑work checks, enhanced DBS clearance and verified references for every individual we employ. We source agency staff only through NHS‑approved frameworks, and we ensure that all workers are treated fairly, paid at least the National Minimum Wage, and given the dignity and respect they deserve.
We apply the same rigour to our supply chain. Wherever possible, we procure goods and services through NHS Supply Chain and Crown Commercial Service frameworks, which already embed modern slavery protections. For any direct contracts, we include clauses requiring suppliers to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and to notify us of any concerns. Our staff are trained to recognise the indicators of modern slavery—both in colleagues and in the patients we serve—and to raise concerns through established safeguarding channels. We publish an annual modern slavery statement aligned with NHS England’s group approach, and we review our practices each year to reflect updated statutory guidance and to ensure we are making continuous progress. This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and represents our commitment to a future where exploitation is no longer hidden in plain sight.
